We are always looking for talented and experienced people to join us.
THIS IS NOT A BEGINNING OR INTRODUCTORY RADIO BROADCASTING POSITION. You must have a minimum of (5) years of commercial AM and/or FM radio experience, preferably including writing and delivering local radio news. Experienced broadcasters from all market sizes are encouraged to apply, especially those who may have recently been displaced due to corporate downsizing. We do not discriminate on the basis of sex, nationality, religion, political views, or for any other reason. We do however, ask you to leave any personal views at the door and keep an open mind and “walk the middle” when performing your duties on behalf of our company.
You need a suitable home studio, or access to a studio that meets professional broadcast standards to meet the required schedules.
You need a basic understanding of digital audio production and you would be required to provide all necessary hardware and digital editing software. We will provide training to enable you to work with our proprietary software and systems.
You would be expected to meet deadlines, follow explicit instructions, be accountable, and be responsive to the needs of individual radio stations.
You must sign a confidentiality agreement so as to protect our existing and future clients.
This is not an offer of employment, but rather an offer of a potential independent contractor position only. Hours and rates vary according to experience and availability.
If you are interested in some extra money, get in touch with us at apply@soundlakeradio.com. Include a brief resume and a SHORT (1 minute or less) aircheck or example of your work, at least three references, and of course be sure to let us know how to get in touch with you. Email is fine, but we would need to move forward with a telephone interview after the initial introductory stage.
